Goodreads Synopsis:
From the author of The Tea Dragon Society comes Dewdrop, the delightful children's tale of an adorable axolotl who cheers on his underwater friends as they each bring their talents to the pond's sports fair!
Dewdrop is an easygoing, gentle axolotl who enjoys naps, worm pie, and cheerleading. When the yearly sports fair nears, he and his friends—Mia the weightlifting turtle, Newman the musical newt, and three minnows who love to cook—get ready to showcase their skills to the whole pond! However, as the day of the fair gets closer, Dewdrop's friends can't help putting pressure on themselves to be the best. It's up to Dewdrop to remind them how to be mindful, go at their own pace, and find joy in their own achievements.
Review:
Dewdrop is an axolotl who is here to help! He wants to help his friends do their very best at the sports fair and he is able to so well with his kindness and encouragement.

This is such a cute book, the illustrations are so pretty and bright and the overall concept and story are great as well. The author does a wonderful job pulling it all together to make a book that will be both fun and educational for young readers. In the story they will learn about helping, even when you are trying to prepare as well, about how to only try to go better than yourself  - because that is always an improvement, and that you shouldn't get discouraged. It also notes that pausing can help you come to the thoughts you were looking for. All of these are great lessons for kid readers and some adults as well and I think that this book would be a great one for your collections.

Review:
Super Cool Space Facts, was just that, super cool, lots of interesting space facts. It hosts a wealth of knowledge for both adult and younger readers as well as wonderful images throughout.  It is divided into a few sections, The Universe, Stars and Constellations, The Solar System and more, for easier reading and the sentences are short and to the point. Most items covered have a nice two-page spread with blurbs about the topic then bubbles that fill the rest of the space with short facts.

I learned a great deal from this book, more than I expected to and it was put together in a way that was easy to learn and read without feeling overwhelmed like some non-fiction books can feel.  The pages are so bright and fun and some of them have space jokes which were very dad-joke-esq but very fun.

For those that love to learn it also includes a resources section as well as a glossary and the images are labelled very well.

If you are looking for a book about space that is super easy to read and you can learn a lot from, or your kids can learn a lot from this would be a great addition to your home library, and a great excuse to stare up at the night sky.

Goodreads Synopsis:
Red loves being red! Apples, wagons, fire trucks -- he thinks all the best things are red! Yellow admires Red's roses, but Red just wants to be left to mind his own business -- why can't Yellow mind hers?
But when Yellow and Blue go off to make frogs, shamrocks, and caterpillars, Red realizes that he may be missing out. The possibilities are endless when the colors work together!
Includes a Note to Parents and Caregivers with more information on encouraging empathy and cooperation.

Review:
I was very interested in this simple book cover and wanted to find out what it was all about. Red is a color and he loves everything red and thinks everything should be red. He isn't really good at being friendly and cooperating with the other colors that want to combine and make other fun colors, because why change red?

This book showcases lots of different objects and will help with color learning but also focuses on playing well with others and that being together can be a good thing and being alone can be sad and lonely.

I thought that the images were a lot of fun, and they were bright and engaging. The story was a good one and I think as a teaching tool for many ages this book could be fun - starting with colors and moving up to the cooperation aspects.

I liked this book and think it will make a great addition to a learning library.
