Review: 
As we gear up for Fall lets talk about a fun Halloween-themed puzzle book! (We all know I love Halloween and Fall...) Great for all ages. This is a Word Search Puzzle book full of spooky and Halloween related themes. The puzzles are not super difficult and are fun. The typeface used is easy to read and the puzzles are clear. 

Each puzzle has about 18-20 words to locate in the grid and they generally took me about 5-10 minutes to complete depending on how closely I was paying attention. 

The words can be round backwards and forwards, left to right, right to left, top to bottom, bottom to top and diagonally.  Overall, I found it to be a fun and easy puzzle book that will keep me entertained.

Review: 

If you are looking for a cookbook for a couple versus a family of four, this is a great one, it is pretty much recipes scaled way down for two of everything- one for you and one for your partner.

What I expected, for some reason, was that these would be quick and pared down recipes for desserts, however that is not quite it. What you have to know going into this is that timing more most of these is the same as if you are baking a whole batch, but the ingredient list is the pared down part so that you don't have 50 cookies in the house. For me, I think for the effort put in, I would prefer to have something to show for it and I would like to have a full batch and then if I didn't want them at home I could bring them to work.

All that said, I did try the No-Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars and they were a hit. I really loved them and so did the hubs. And this book has a lot of no-bake recipes which is awesome!

So if you only want a few sweets in the house at a time and you are excited to learn some new no-bake dessert recipes, this would work for you.

Review: 
I am loving this puzzle book. I love word searches and all sorts of puzzles, they help me take my mind off the stress of the day and keep my brain going. 

Each page has a list of words and then the puzzle and the size is perfect. Each puzzle has a theme so you can pick and choose if you aren't feeling the 'birds' option.

The puzzles are not super easy, which is great, but they are easy enough to be a mindless thing to do when you want to relax but not watch TV.

 Review: 

Bend Your Brain is a wonderfully fun book of puzzles designed to stretch your mind. It took me a while to write this review but not long to get through the book. The day I received it I brought it to bed with me and challenged my husband to help me solve some of the puzzles to see what the book was like – it became addicting and so much fun. We did the puzzles together and each of us had strengths and weaknesses with the different types of puzzles. The book is broken down into various types of puzzles but also different levels of brain power, so the mind busting and mind blowing levels were pretty extreme and often took a lot longer to complete.

I really enjoyed the word games and I think my husband did better at the association puzzles. We both had the same issue with the book though – the progress was fast and the levels got really tough really quickly. We would have liked for more of the lower level ones to better prepare us for the rest of the levels.

Overall I think this was a wonderful book. I love puzzles as it is and this was a wonderful way to spend an evening (or more). I think that if you are looking for a book to pass the time or a gift book, this would be a wonderful choice. There are puzzles for all types and levels so it is bound to appeal to most readers and puzzle-lovers.
