Review:
If you have not read book 1 or book 2, there may be spoilers below.
Some cliff hanger endings lend to wonderful opening panels in comics and this one was no exception to that. In the last issue, the reader ends with Maika about to have an altercation with someone. Then in the very beginning of this issue, we are back in that action almost immediately and along with this we learn a lot more about Maika and her 'condition'. This issue was very creepy and opened up a lot of new questions now that the main one was confronted although not really expanded upon.
So, Maika is still a mystery even though you have seen what lies inside of her. But that does not really bother me. I love this story progression it is very interesting and makes me want to push through the story. To that point, I only had the first 3 comics in the series and needed the rest, so I ran out to buy the graphic novel to own these three beauties but also to read the next three installments.
I really am loving these books so much. As before the art is AMAZING and I am in love. I really hope to see a lot more from this duo.
