Seventeen-year-old Morgan Daniel has been in the witness protection program most of her life. But The Panteras have caught up with her and her younger brother. Her car is totaled, she's hurt, and the street gang is closing in when wolves with glowing eyes appear out of nowhere and chase away the killers.

The bad news? Morgan Daniel’s wolf is out of control. The good news? There’s a treatment. She just has to get a potion from a lizard shifter witch—without looking into the witch’s eyes. Easy, right?

Hello Readers, Bloggers, and Awesome people!

IT'S AUTUMN! [πŸ‚throws 🍁leavesπŸ‚ and spins🍁]

I am going to have a long October TBR and I am trying to keep it spooky for the πŸ‘» Halloween season πŸŽƒ and a few of them are from local (VT/NH) authors and love supporting them.  I hope you had a wonderful start to your Autumn. Link me up to your re-caps, book piles, etc and I will stop by and say hello when I return from VA.

          Goodreads Synopsis:
Even though she hates to leave Coney Island as it rebuilds after the zombie apocalypse, Harley must set out on a journey that will take her around the world-and into the clutches of a bizarre robotic enemy! Too bad her Mecha-Harley suit didn’t fit in the overhead bin…
           Review:
Oh Harley... this book was a nice move out of the zombies and into the next story in the series. Harley realizes that there are still phone banks calling and ripping off old people and she is not having it. She enlists some of her gang to help her fight back and as is the case most of the time -it gets violent.

I think that in this installment of Harley was actually more violent than normal - I know that Harley isn't above killing people but this time it was pretty graphic and very dramatic. I liked this transition. After the craziness that was the alien/ zombie hot dog issues this was as smooth as a transition could be.  Harley is still crazy funny and I am curious to see where this story-line leads us.

          Building the Book Pile #204

Welcome to Building the Book Pile!  A Weekly meme inspired by Stacking the Shelves

Hello Readers, Bloggers, and Awesome people!

Still getting the reading on but a little slower than last week. I have been trying to comment back to people here on my blog and I have been reading more of other people's posts lately too. I have been slacking on that a lot in general for the past few months.
I have also been spending some time coming up with  my to do list for the wonderful Blog Ahead challenge which runs in October and since I will be traveling Sept. 28-Oct. 3rd I really needed to set myself up for it.
In terms of life, this week was a rough one.  I had a few really upsetting emotional days and it was just hard to come out of that depressive slump - reading is still making me feel like my normal self though so I am going for it :) and yesterday I had a blast with some friends at the Great Vermont Corn Maze!

Hope you all had a wonderful week.
