Review:
While browsing the Netgalley site I came across this beautifully dark and macabre cover and had to see what it was all about. Finding out that it was about a monster- hunter only sealed the deal more and I had to request it.

This book is wonderful. It is creepy and dark and the sketchiness of the illustrations only lends to that even more. The characters are all very mysterious and it made the plot all the better.

This volume is comprised of a magnificent opening to the series - mysterious men meeting people, attacks, and talk of past lives coming to hunt the main character again. I was immediately pulled in.

I enjoyed the plot, the characters, but mostly it was the art that I enjoyed the most. The deep purples and blues and lots of black and grey - the environment this created within the story and for the story was marvelous. I would recommend to graphic novel readers of the Courtney Crumin or Coffin Hill variety.
