Blogger Pet Profiles!! - SHREKI and TIMMY

Hello lovely readers/ bloggers...

AND THEIR PETS! 

I have realized through my years of blogging that so many of us have pets and they are all adorable and should be shared with the internet world! My pets are my reading buddies and I love them like they are children. 

Here is your chance to share your lovely companions during this holiday time when we are sharing what we are oh so thankful for.

I have 4 pets and will be doing 3 posts to share them with you - there may even be a Linky too - if you are interested in posting and sharing your marvelous pets! 

So this is Shreki and Timmy...

Shreki and Timmy are our two bearded dragons, Shreki is a girl and Timmy is a boy - they were Shrek and Fiona before we knew their sexes... so we changed them. Timmy was "Tiny Tim" for a while but then he got big so now he is just Timmy.

Anywho - we had a Sudanese plated dragon that we adopted from a friend that couldn't take care of her and she eventually passed away of old age. Well we had this huge empty tank so we decided to go an get other lizards to fill it. When they were little Shreki and Timmy lived together in that one tank. Now they live in separate (gigantic) tanks because they don't really get along - so we have 2 giant tanks now. 

We have had them both for a little over 4 years and we take them out and let them run around in the office (we lock the dog and cat out - just in case). They have very different personalities and they are actually pretty loving for lizards. Shreki really likes me but runs away from my husband and Timmy tries to eat my fingers but doesn't mind Andy's hands in the tank...

Here are the beardies as babies...this is back when they liked each other.

This is Shreki - she tends to be more active than Timmy and is more of a green/yellow color most of time.

 

This is Timmy - he is more orange and a bit fatter than Shreki.

Blogger Pet Profiles!! - COOPER

So this is Cooper ...

Cooper is our short-hair domestic cat, he is also called a Russian Blue because of his grey coat. We have had him for about 5 years now and found him in a pile of trash. Here is the story...

My husband's grandparents had some stray cats living under their shed and obviously they reproduced - we have since had them spayed. There was a super floody- rainy day and the mom cat ran off without helping her kittens. There were about 5 of them and so we collected them to make sure they didn't drown and not knowing if the mother would return (she didn't for a few months), we brought them to a no-kill shelter. One of them was SO cute that we ended up keeping him. He was covered in fleas and so we cleaned him up and he has been our indoor cat ever since.

He was named, uncreatively, because I had a grey Mini Cooper at the time and thus 'Cooper' fit pretty well.

Here is Kitten Cooper...

Playful kitty! Although the one with the scratching post makes him look terrifying and the garland one has his guilty face. He is a huge fan of Christmas decorations and chewing on them.

 

Cats sleep... Cooper is no exception to that rule. He likes to cuddle while I am reading...

So cute...

This is his unhappy face...I was about to take the heating pad away, he stole it went I went to the bathroom.

Blogger Pet Profiles!! - ROLO

So this is ROLO ...

Rolo is a French Bulldog/ Boston Terrier mix and his mother's name was Candy so all the puppies had candy-themed names. We did get him from a breeder but he was kind of the runt and when we were looking for a dog he was the last of his litter and no one wanted him. Frenchies and Bostons are known for there popped ears - they are naturally like that, but one of Rolo's had not popped and so he was not what most wanted. We didn't care and took him into our home and almost immediately his ears were fine. :) not that we would have cared :)

Frenchies were bred as companion dogs and Rolo is just that, he is like a shadow and will not settle until you do - no matter what. I adore him.  This year he will turn 7 in December.

This was his ride home with us after picking him up...

...bringin home a baby bumble bee.... he hates this costume, although he LOVES shirts and sweaters.

He also loves his coats, he has a winter one and a raincoat. He hates being wet so we appease him :) - I know, I spoil him so much!
